Disabilities in Developing Countries

Pete: Good start. I’d like to see more of your plan. I’m glad that you got a response from Sue. It sounds as though things are going well for them. I understand that what we can do here may be limited in a few weeks, but we can learn more, and one never knows where this could lead us. Present website grade: 7.5/10

Background: 161 million people live with a disabling visual impairment, and 90% of these people are live in developing countries. Blindness or other visual impairments strongly hinder the progress of the affected individuals in developing countries as these individuals are often seen as unable to contribute to the growth/income of the household and therefore, they are usually left in the home day in and day out.
