Bio:

After hearing about Guateca from Ryan during my final spring term at Cal Poly, I couldn’t have made a better choice than to become involved. The opportunity to live with a family amongst the community of San Pablo is an experience you would be hard pressed to match in any other study abroad program.
Outside of Guateca, you can usually find me enjoying the finer things my current home of San Luis Obispo has to offer. Some of my hobbies include riding my bike, traveling, writing, and anything to do with food.

Project Overviews

Website Development – OPS

During our final two weeks in Guatemala, the Guateca documentary team was given the opportunity to work with the
Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS), an official chapter of the World Health Organization (WHO). As representatives of our program we were asked to create a video documentary of projects being done in a 10 day water sanitation seminar. During this time participants from countries throughout Central and North America worked together to develop prototypes that could potentially be used to improve health conditions in their home countries. Currently the website is still under construction, but for more information about OPS please visit their homepage at http://new.paho.org/gut/
