Proposed Needs(Needs will depend on final plan as determined by San Pablo community)

  • Land suitable for farming
  • Building materials for expanding greenhouse and/or building high tunnels
  • People to plant the garden and test plots (plowing field, planting seeds, laying down irrigation drips)
    • Approximately 20 people needed for no longer than a week
  • People interested in maintaining the garden and test plots (weeding, watering, harvesting, etc.)
  • Seeds and/or saplings for various crops
  • Native rootstocks for grafting
  • Proper farming equipment (type of equipment will depend upon the decided crops)
  • Irrigation drips
  • Booklet on agricultural techniques (in textbook-like form) to have at the local school
  • Organic fertilizer and/or compost
  • Organic pesticides
  • Funds for seeds and supplies
  • Supplies for making fruit leather
    • Sheet pans
    • Pots
    • Hand cranked food mill(s)
    • Parchment paper
    • Cutting boards and knives
    • Bowls
    • Mixing Spoons
    • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Drying setup for fruit leather
    • Racks above existing stoves?
    • Solar drying apparatus?
  • Educational materials
    • Textbook or other resources
    • Flyers/Pamphlets
    • Worksheets
  • Teachers to implement educational curriculum
  • Marketing materials to increase awareness and interest in involvement
